1. The Brief and Customer Needs
It all starts with one question: What kind of light does this vehicle need?
Whether it’s a city bus, camper, tram or special-purpose vehicle – each has unique requirements. We consider:
Body shape and design,
Type of use (urban, nighttime, off-road),
Homologation standards (ECE R112, R7, etc.),
Aesthetic and functional OEM preferences.
2. Concept and Design
Our OEI_DesignLab team creates initial sketches, 3D models and lighting simulations. At this stage we define:
LED layout,
Optics and lens design,
Beams, signature DRLs, position lights,
Custom branding for OEM or city identity.
3. Engineering and Prototyping
Once the design is approved, we focus on construction and performance:
Platform selection (e.g. BI_LED Next Horizon),
Prototyping tools and validation,
Thermal, lighting, EMC, IP, and EBS/ADAS readiness testing,
Small-series production.
4. Small-Batch Production & Logistics
We specialize in 10–1000 unit runs – perfect for niche mobility.
