The Hella rain/light sensor is the first combination sensor of this kind to be offered on the market. Thanks to reliable detection of rain and splash water, the sensor works with the wiper electronics to control the windshield wipers automatically. Depending on the amount of rain, the large measuring range permits high sensitivity with regard to the wiper activation and intervals. Moreover, the sensor measures the ambient brightness and thereby provides for automatic switching of headlamps and reversing lights for corresponding light conditions.
